Jackie Quinones is an award winning filmmaker. Both her films and writing have been recognized by the Houston International Film Festival, The Script Lab and Screencraft. Her Directorial Debut SICK garnered multiple awards and nominations including a Remi Award for Best Genre Film, awards for Best Hair, Best Makeup, Best Actress, and two nominations for Best Drama. Her second short film DANDELION boasts an Emmy Award Winning sound designer as well as a Multi-Award Winning Cinematographer (currently in post-production). Her first feature film, currently in pre-production, includes an all-star ensemble cast including Luis Guzman (Boogie Nights, Code Black), Andre Royo (The Spectacular Now, Empire, The Wire), Noel Gugliemi (Training Day, The Fast and the Furious) and more.
Along with her directorial projects, Jackie has lent her know-how as a consultant to the Production, Development and Marketing of Blockbuster feature films including Aaron Sorkin’s Molly’s Game, John Lucas & Scott Moore’s Bad Moms franchise, Brian Henson’s The Happytime Murders, Peter Berg’s Mile 22, Joel Edgerton’s The Gift, Billy Ray’s The Secret In Their Eyes, Kelly Asbury’s Ugly Dolls, and more.
Interested in Mixed Media and filmmaking for future generations, Quinones is also a tech entrepreneur. In 2016, Quinones spoke at TEDx, Paris. Her talk "Is Technology Killing Our Empathy?" highlights her passion for mixed media storytelling and how integrating story with digital media can create a novel way to improve empathy online.
Jackie’s Producing credits include NBC/Universal’s Bi-Lingual Latino Docu-Reality Television Series From Beyond, several short films including SICK, Half The Man and Dandelion, and multiple digital projects with actor Luis Guzman including the Spotify podcast The Luis Guzman and Casper Martinez Show, of which she is also a host and the female voice.
Quinones began her acting career as the comedic sidekick in the two time Spirit Spirit Award nominated Anne B. Real. She went on to star opposite Wesley Snipes and Luis Guzman in Sony Screen Gems’ Hard Luck before landing roles on television in CSI: NY and Lost Tapes, and on stage in Rick Najera’s Broadway hit Latinologues, and Linda Nieves Powell’s Yo Soy Latina. Jackie was most recently cast in the new comedic short film/pilot Confessions Of A Closeted People Pleaser by executive producer John Riggi (30 Rock, The Comeback, Mr. Mayor) directed Sam Morgan (Shameless, American Woman) and was tapped in early 2021 to play a featured guest star in the comedy series Horse Camp as the hilarious cantankerous head cheerleader of a rival camp. She is currently raising funds for the feature film GENESIS, a quarterfinalist script in The Script Lab drama competition.
